Dion Roy Is Going on Tour!

That’s correct, your heard it right, I’m going on tour this summer!
I’ll be touring in support of  my latest EP, “The Nearest Light”, which was released on June 23 and reached #8 on the iTunes singer-songwriter music charts.  “The Nearest Light” is the follow up to my debut album “Gallery” which came out in 2009.  The new EP was produced by Scott Reiblig, known for his work with Weezer, Fall Out Boy, and Cobra Starship.

I’m super pumped for this summer tour.   I’ll be hitting the road with Josiah Leming who you might remember from American Idol, and Todd Carey.  The tour kicks off in Cleveland, OH on July 31st with the final date on August 17th in Nashville, TN.  Check out the tour flier below as well as the additional dates that have been added.  Hope to see you on tour!

[Pics] “The Nearest Light” Release Party!

In celebration of the release of “The Nearest Light”, I performed on June 23rd, to a sold out show at The Living Room in New York’s infamous Lower East Side. I had a full band performance featuring Peter Roessler (guitar), Ed Marshall (bass), and special guest, Boots Factor, of Stephen Kellogg and The Sixers (drums).

“The Nearest Light” EP cracks the Top 10 list on iTunes!!

Currently sitting at number 9, my new EP, “The Nearest Light,” which released yesterday (June 23) has cracked the Top 10 on iTunes Singer/Songwriter chart— I’m glad because it’s a huge feat for any independent artist.

An instant success, my new album was also just licensed for the upcoming seasons of MTV’s “The Real World” and “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” on E!. The EP, which was produced by Dion Roy and Peter Roessler, was mixed by Scott Reibling, of Weezer, Cobra Starship and Fallout Boy fame.

Enjoy the listening!

You can now purchase the EP on iTunes here for $3.96.
